Elders’ February Newsletter

Dear New Creation

“Jesus appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out …….” We have started the New Creation year preaching around our 2017 theme of Growing Together Sending Out and how our mission of Changed Lives Changed World and the prophetic word that we are an Antioch base connects with it. Now the Lord’s challenge to all of us is to be doers of his word and not hearers only. Pray that as a church family we do it to God’s glory!!

Family Night. In New Creation jargon, family night does not mean a night with our families though that is something to be recommended. Rather it means an opportunity for us as a church family to get together to share news, challenges and plans and to pray together.
We have announced a family night next Wednesday 15 February but we have had to postpone it probably for 2 weeks. Sorry for the change and I hope it does not cause inconvenience. We will let you know the new arrangements as soon as possible. On the positive side, it means that our small groups can continue as usual next week.

Thank you Hlengiwe Nleya! Hlengiwe is a long-time member of New Creation and has been serving on the office staff as our Administration Team Leader for several years. She has done a great job in upgrading our administrative and financial systems and shown great perseverance and efficiency in dealing with many tough issues. We are sad that she believes that God is saying that her time on the church staff should come to an end in March and wish her God’s richest blessings in a new season in her life. We will miss her in the office but she belongs in the New Creation family and we look forward to her on-going participation in the life of the church. Thank you, Hlengiwe, and God bless you.

New Staff.  Looking to the future we will need a part time Accountant and an Administrator in the church office. For more information feel free to WhatsApp or speak to Mpi, David or Hlengiwe or ask for the notice at office@newcreationbyo.org. Please do apply if you feel this is something the Lord is opening up for you because we would love to talk it though. And let us all be praying for the right people to come forward.

May the Lord bless and be with you all.

David Cunningham
